Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on December 13, 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift has been a singer/songwriter from the pop/country genre for over 20 years. Swift's stories of romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love are gaining her acclaim during the 21st Century. Swift first showed an keen interest in the world of music in the early years of her life. Her career progressed rapidly from children's play roles, through her first public appearance in front of a large crowd. She was age 11 when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match and that same year she picked up the guitar, and began writing songs. Taking her inspiration from country music artists such as Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. In the year 13 Swift's parents decided to sell their farm in Pennsylvania to move in Hendersonville Tennessee so she could spend more time pursuing country music labels located in the nearby city of Nashville.
